On the 10<sup>th<\/sup>day after Jesus had gone back to Heaven, the Holy Spirit came! \u00a0He sounded like rushing wind, He looked like a flame of fire on their heads, and He gave them power to speak new languages!<\/li>\n<li>There was a crowd of people visiting Jerusalem from faraway places. When they heard the disciples talking in different languages some of the visitors said the disciples were just being silly. \u00a0They did not understand the power of the Holy Spirit.<\/li>\n<li>But one of Jesus\u2019 disciples named Peter stood up in front of the crowd and began preaching to them about Jesus.<\/li>\n<li>He told them, \u201cThe disciples are not being silly. \u00a0They are filled with the power of the HOLY SPIRIT to tell you about JESUS in your own language.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cAnd everyone who calls on the name of JESUS will be saved from sin and death!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cJesus was sent by God to save us. \u00a0He did many good things to show us God\u2019s love. \u00a0But you said He told lies. \u00a0You put Him to death. But He didn\u2019t stay dead. \u00a0He came alive again because He is more powerful than death.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>King David once said that the Messiah-Savior-King Forever would die and come alive again. \u00a0This JESUS whom you killed never lied. \u00a0He told the Truth. \u00a0He is the Messiah-Savior-King Forever!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>When the crowd heard this, they were sorry that they had killed Jesus. \u00a0They cried out, \u201cWhat should we do now?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Peter answered, \u201cTell God you are sorry for your sin. \u00a0Be baptized in the name of Jesus. \u00a0God will forgive you and wash away your sins. \u00a0He will give you the Holy Spirit, too. \u00a0This Promise is for everyone in the whole world who call on the name of JESUS!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>That day (Pentecost) about 3,000 people believed in JESUS and were baptized!!
